The Orange County AHEC is hosted by the Coalition of Orange County Community Clinics, a CHC consortium with 18 member organizations and 44 clinics.   The Orange County AHEC partners with University of California, Irvine’s health science schools to train medical, NP and RN students using standardized patient encounters to learn to how to care for non-English speaking patients. The Orange County AHEC also supports NP and nursing student rotations in community health centers.

Former AHEC Center Director Felix Schwarz from the Health Care Council of Orange County will continue to work with the COCCC to bring quality health care to all citizens of Orange County.
